A 1.5 ton 5 star rating AC is installed in your house. Which you use for 8 hours a day. So it consumes approximately 360 units of your electricity. If the price of electricity in your area is Rs 8 per unit, then your AC bill will be Rs 2880 in a month.
The bill for the cooler will be this much
The cooler consumes electricity according to its motor. Generally a cooler runs on the use of 100 to 150 watts of electricity. Which consumes one unit in a day. If the price of one unit of electricity is ₹8. So 30 units earns Rs 240 in a month.
Fan consumes least electricity
Generally ceiling fans range from 70 watts to 80 watts. If your ceiling fan is 80 watts. So it will consume 80 watts of electricity in 1 hour. If you use it for 10 hours. So accordingly 0.8kWh electricity will be consumed in 10 hours.
If the price of electricity is Rs 8 per unit then Rs 6.4 will be spent in a day. That means Rs 192 per month. If you run AC, cooler and fan together. Then your bill will be Rs 192 + 240 + 2880 = Rs 3312.
